Can I Use Canned Green Beans?

I don’t recommend using canned green beans. Canned green beans are already cooked so you are just essentially warming them up. They will probably get too mushy.

Fresh beans will be crisp and will allow the sugar mixture to caramelize bringing out the flavors.

What should I serve these green beans in?

Simple bowls and side serving dishes will work. These are a few of our favorites and we use them for just about any side dish, especially when we have guests and dinners.
